VOGUE ITALY
INCLUSION REVOLUTION
"Disability is often left out of the diversity debate; we often receive briefs looking for ‘diversity’ but with no mention of disability, alternative appearances, or trans/non-binary identities – and we want to change this. We want it to be the norm that REAL diverse media becomes commonplace." – Laura Winson & Zoe Proctor, Founders of Zebedee Talent
For this Vogue Italia editorial, we teamed up with Zebedee Talent, the leading inclusive modeling agency championing differently-abled, visibly different, non-binary, and trans models. Zebedee is reshaping how disability, visible difference, and gender identity are represented in fashion and media, pushing for real inclusivity, not tokenism.
With this in mind, the shoot was designed to break barriers and redefine representation. Many of the women on set shared that they never imagined seeing themselves in Vogue or starring in a high-fashion editorial, proving how much further the industry still has to go.
To visually amplify the theme of freedom, movement, and empowerment, the set featured a large parachute fabric swirling around the models—a metaphor for breaking through constraints and taking up space unapologetically. The fabric became an extension of the models themselves, moving with them, wrapping, unfolding—mirroring their strength, individuality, and presence.
Each model had a bespoke makeup and fashion board, crafted to reflect their personality and uniqueness. The styling was elevated, ensuring that each woman felt powerful and seen, celebrating their differences rather than masking them.
The overall set design was modern with industrial influences, creating a contrast between the softness of the fabric and the boldness of the models. This juxtaposition reinforced the idea that strength and beauty exist in many forms, beyond traditional fashion ideals.
Alongside the stills, a short fashion film was created to capture the intimacy, energy, and confidence radiating from these incredible women, making their presence even more impactful.
This shoot wasn’t just about representation—it was about setting a new standard. A vision of fashion where inclusivity is the norm, not an afterthought.
